Itinerary: Day1: Beijing You will meet your guide at the airport, and then transfer you to the hotel. After check in the hotel, we will have an unforgotten memory about Peking Opera which is the most representative of all Chinese traditional dramatic art forms. (D) Attractions & Activities: Peking Opera Accommodation: Grand View Garden Hotel, Beijing (or similar) Day 2: Beijing Tiananmen is located in the center of the city which is the portal of Ming and Qing dynasty. With more than 500 years history, Tiananmen is a witness to change of dynasties. After visiting the Tiananmen, we will move to the Forbidden City which is the Imperial Palace for Ming and Qing emperors. There is totally 24 emperors lived and ruled China in the Forbidden City for more than 500 years. Enjoying your lunch in a local restaurant, then we will go to the Summer Palace . Lots of historical events were took place in Summer Palace which is also political and diplomatic center of the late Qing Dynasty. It reflects the high standard of Chinese traditional gardening art that is "natural" (B+L+D) Attractions & Activities: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace Accommodation: Grand View Garden Hotel, Beijing (or similar) Day 3: Beijing Great Wall is a miracle that made by the Chinese people. Constructing the Great Wall is a big project from the Qin Dynasty, millions of people are forced to build. You could close to the symbol of Chinese civilization - Great Wall and have a sweet memory. After having lunch in a local restaurant, we will explore Hu Tong which has already existed for a long time in Beijing . Hu Tong is not only the mode of people's living but also the Beijinger's culture type, that is an important part of Chinese culture if not the most important part. The essence of it is "tolerance". We will enjoy the Peking duck in the evening. (B+L+D) Attractions & Activities: Great Wall, Hu Tong, Peking duck Accommodation: Grand View Garden Hotel, Beijing (or similar) Day4: Beijing-Lhasa After the breakfast we will take flight to Lhasa-the capital city of Tibet Autonomous Region since the 7 th century and is both political and religious heart of Tibet. Although Lhasa is famous for being one of the highest cities in the world, what really knocks you there is the full scale impact on your senses of the breathtaking beauty, unique landscape and the holy atmosphere of this religious center. Rest of the day will be free to be accustomed to the elevation.(B+L) Accommodation: Tibet Hotel, Lhasa (or similar) Day5: Lhasa Your tour in this "sacred Place of Buddha" started with the Potala Palace, the home of the Dalai Lama, the traditional theological rulers and Buddhism's highest ranking priests of Tibet. It was the former political heart of Tibet and contains unimaginable treasures. Then visit the Lhasa's holiest temple-Jokhang Temple, the religious center of Tibet. This 1300 year old temple houses a pure gold Buddha statue that was a gift from the Tang Dynasty of China. Followed by stroll around the Barkhor Street, which is the religious and social focus of Lhasa. Today it is a big market where you can get a typical Tibetan souvenir.(B+L+D) Attractions & Activities: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street Accommodation: Tibet Hotel, Lhasa (or similar) Day6: Lhasa After break fast today, we head for the Sera Monastery, an active temple where we see many pilgrims and monks in training. Then we will enjoy a personal introduction to the culture of Tibet as we visit a Lhasa family that has invited us to see their home and have tea. In the afternoon, you have a chance to take a ride in a traditional yak skin boat. This requires some agility and sense of adventure-the boats accommodate just one or two passengers each, and it is important to avoid stepping directly on their thin yak-skin hulls. (B+L+D) Attractions & Activities: Sera Monastery, Lhasa family, Yak skin boat Accommodation: Tibet Hotel, Lhasa (or similar) Day7: Lhasa-Shigatse Most of today's time will be spent on the bumpy road but the view of the Yamdarok-Tso Lake will be rewarding. The blue, limpid lake water and the verdant mountain around the lake combine into a charming scene that can be compared with those in Switzerland.(B+L+D) Attractions & Activities: Yamdarok-Tso Lake Accommodation: Shigatse Hotel, Shigatse (or similar) Day8: Shigatse-Gyantse Visit the Tashilumpo Monastery - the official seat of Panchen Lama, second in importance to only the Dalai Lama. In the afternoon drive to Gyantse.(B+L+D) Attractions & Activities: Tashilumpo Monastery Accommodation: Gyantse Hotel, Gyantse (or similar) Day9: Gyantse-Lhasa Visit the Palkhor Monastery that is notable for its superb Kumbum stupa. The mural in Palkhor Monastery is well-known, especially the painting skills and technology are different from the other Monasteries. Drive back to Lhasa in the afternoon.(B+L+D) Attractions & Activities: Palkhor Monastery Accommodation: Tibet Hotel, Lhasa (or similar) Day10: Lhasa-Xian In the morning we will take morning flight to Xian which has more than 5,000 year's history. After arrived, Han Yang Mausoleum is our first stop, which is an imperial Tomb of Liu Qi who is the fourth emperor of the Western Han Dynasty. With the tomb wall we have found 81 accompanying burial pits that are laid out in a tight and orderly way. They consists of cavalry guards of honor, warriors and all kinds of war-chariots, weapons, bridles, tools, utensils, food storage and all sorts of other objects. Then we will view the Huaqing Hot Spring. Because of the natural hot spring, it became a famous scenic spot as far back as the Western Zhou Dynasty, 27 centuries ago. We will enjoy The Song of Eternal Sorrow which is a large musical drama with true mountains, true water, and true history. After the show we will go to your hotel. The hot springs of the hotel are connected with Huaqing Pool, which is regarded as one of the best hot springs in China.(B+L+D) Attractions & Activities: Han Yang Mausoleum, Huangqing Hot Spring, The Song of Eternal Sorrow Accommodation: Huaqing Aegean International Hot Springs Resort & Spa Hotel Day11: Xian Terracotta Army is an amazing place that you will never missing. For the first Emperor of the Qin Dynasty to build a terracotta army-array on such a large scale the gist of his doing so is very clear. It is obviously to show that he is such an emperor who ever ruled over a large country with a big population and his great achievements would benefit the country for a long, long time to come. After viewing the Terracotta Army Museum , you will visit a factory to learn how to make a terracotta warrior. Carving your name or your friends name on the terracotta warrior, you will have a special gift for them and unforgotten experience in Xi'an . Then we will back to the city and view the Big Wild Goose Pagoda which is also the symbol of Xian. The children who started to learn painting is begin from drawing The Big Wild Goose Pagoda. (B+L+D) Attractions & Activities: Terracotta Army, Making terracotta warrior Lesson , Big Wild Goose Pagoda Accommodation: Tianyu Gloria Plaza Hotel, Xian (or similar) Day 12: Xi'an-Shanghai City Wall is not only the most intact and well preserved built-up of an ancient city in China but also an existing military citadel of ancient times, the largest in scale and the most complete of its kind in the world. A professor of Chinese Kong Fu-Tai Chi will give you a lesson on the City Wall. Then you will take flights to Shanghai which is the modern and ancient perfect combination city. After check in the hotel, we will have an unforgotten memory about Chinese Acrobatic Show which date back to the Neolithic Age of China. (B+L+D) Attractions & Activities: City Wall, Tai Chi Lesson, Chinese Acrobatic Show Accommodation: Days Hotel, Shanghai (or similar) Day 13: Shanghai Yuyuan Garden was established in 1559 which was originally a private garden in Ming Dynasty. More than 40 ancient architectures represent the art style of Ming and Qing Dynasty southern gardens. You will have a free time to explore the city in the afternoon. Today, Temple of the Town Gods is consisted of numerous Chinese traditional snakes that are worth going. Then, you will have a free time to explore the city in the afternoon.
