Itinerary: Day1: Shanghai Arrive in Shanghai and be greeted by your guide who will transfer you from the airport to the hotel. Rest of the day will be at leisure. Accommodation: Days Hotel, Shanghai (or similar) Day2: Shanghai You'll visit the Shanghai museum, the graceful Yuyuan Garden and a silk institute . Then you'll stroll through Old Town and along the Bund of Yangtze River. In the evening, the memorable dinner will be followed by the Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre. (B+L+D) Attractions & Activities: Shanghai Museum, Yuyuan Garden, silk institute, the Bund, Chinese Acrobatic Show Accommodation: Days Hotel, Shanghai (or similar) Day3: Shanghai-Chongqing-Yangtze River Cruise You'll visit the Oriental pearl building in the morning; in the afternoon you will fly to Chongqing, where the best place to experience the Yangtze River. Visit the Panda House in Chongqing Zoo. After being treated with abundant dinner, then transferred to the pier directly and pre-board the ship. (B+L+D) Attractions & Activities: Oriental pearl building, Panda House, Accommodation: Ship Day4: Yangtze River Cruise Your memorable Yangtze River tour begins in the morning. Leave Chongqing at around 9:00am. In the afternoon we will visit the Ghost City of Fengdu with its temples containing sculptures of demons and devils. Take part in the captain's welcome party in the evening. (B+L+D) Attractions & Activities: Fengdu, Welcome Party Accommodation: Ship Day5: Yangtze River Cruise This morning you will sail through the Qutang Gorge, the first of the three Yangtze gorges that is only 8KM long but known for its magnificence. Then the ship docks at Wushan for an excursion to the Lesser Three Gorges that are narrower but more dramatic. Continue through Wu Gorge that is famous for its deep valley and quiet beauty. Enjoy the evening show at Zigui-hometown of Quyuan, a great poet in ancient China with evening show. (B+L+D) Attractions & Activities: Qutang Gorge, Wuxia, Zigui Accommodation: Ship Day6: Yangtze River Cruise Today you will pass the Xiling Gorge, the longest of the three and composed of many scenic spots. Followed by stop at the Three Gorges Dam site. Join in the Farewell Banquet in the evening. (B+L+D) Attractions & Activities: Xiling Gorge, Three Gorges Dam site, Farewell Banquet. Accommodation: Ship Day7: Yangtze River Cruise-Wuhan-Xian This morning you will arrive at Wuhan, an important hub of transport in central China. You will be met and transferred to the airport directly for your flight to Xian with rest of the day free. Accommodation: Tianyu Gloria Plaza Hotel, Xian (or similar) Day 8: Xian Terracotta Army is an amazing place that you will never missing. For the first Emperor of the Qin Dynasty to build a terracotta army-array on such a large scale the gist of his doing so is very clear. It is obviously to show that he is such an emperor who ever ruled over a large country with a big population and his great achievements would benefit the country for a long, long time to come. After visiting the Terracotta Army, we will back to the city and have lunch in a local restaurant. Big Wild Goose Pagoda is also the symbol of Xian. The children who started to learn painting is begin from drawing The Big Wild Goose Pagoda. You will enjoy the Tang Dynasty Banquet and Tang Dynasty Dance Show in the evening which will take you back to the flourishing period-Tang Dynasty. Accommodation: Tianyu Gloria Plaza Hotel, Xian (or similar) Day9: Xian-Beijing City Wall is not only the most intact and well preserved built-up of an ancient city in China but also an existing military citadel of ancient times, the largest in scale and the most complete of its kind in the world. The Shaanxi History Museum has a collection of more than 113,000 historic and cultural relics to exemplify the early birth, wide coverage, large scale and high standard of the ancient civilization in Shaanxi. All these demonstrate the outstanding political, economic and cultural importance of Shaanxi to China's ancient civilization. On the way to the airport, you will visit Han Yang Mausoleum which is an imperial Tomb of Liu Qi who is the fourth emperor of the Western Han Dynasty. With the tomb wall we have found 81 accompanying burial pits that are laid out in a tight and orderly way. They consists of cavalry guards of honor, warriors and all kinds of war-chariots, weapons, bridles, tools, utensils, food storage and all sorts of other objects. Take an evening flight to Beijing. Attractions & Activities: City Wall, Shaanxi History Museum, Han Yang Mausoleum Accommodation: Grand View Garden Hotel, Beijing (or similar) Day 10: Beijing Tiananmen is located in the center of the city which is the portal of Ming and Qing dynasty. With more than 500 years history, Tiananmen is a witness to change of dynasties. After visiting the Tiananmen, we will move to the Forbidden City which is the Imperial Palace for Ming and Qing emperors. There is totally 24 emperors lived and ruled China in the Forbidden City for more than 500 years. Enjoying your lunch in a local restaurant, then we will go to the Summer Palace. Lots of historical events were took place in Summer Palace which is also political and diplomatic center of the late Qing Dynasty. It reflects the high standard of Chinese traditional gardening art that is "natural" (B+L+D) Attractions & Activities: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace Accommodation: Grand View Garden Hotel, Beijing (or similar) Day 11: Beijing Great Wall is a miracle that made by the Chinese people. Constructing the Great Wall is a big project from the Qin dynasty, millions of people are forced to build. You could close to the symbol of Chinese civilization-Great Wall and have a sweet memory. After having lunch in a local restaurant, we will explore Hu Tong which has already existed for a long time in Beijing. Hu Tong is not only the mode of people's living but also the Beijinger's culture type, that is an important part of Chinese culture if not the most important part. The essence of it is "tolerance". We will enjoy the Peking duck in the evening. (B+L+D) Attractions & Activities: Great Wall, Hu Tong, Peking duck Accommodation: Grand View Garden Hotel, Beijing (or similar) Day 12: Depart Beijing In the morning we will go to the Temple of Heaven. From the history records, the worship of heaven and earth could back to 2,000 years ago. Temple of Heaven is the place that the emperors show their respects to the God. The worship of heaven and earth play an important part in Chinese politics. After lunch our guide will see you off by transfer you to the airport. (B)
